We’re delighted that the regeneration of the former EMD cinema has won the coveted New London Awards 2020 'unbuilt' Conserving Prize.
The project will see the former Grade II* listed Art Deco cinema transformed into a 950 seat theatre, bar and restaurant, community space.
Twin & Earth provided energy and sustainability services including the development of a bespoke energy and sustainability strategy for the scheme which will include thermally insulating the building envelope, replacing all plant and equipment with electrically powered air source heat pumps with heat recovery, modern high efficiency lighting and controls, and addition of 149 photovoltaic panels to generate renewable power on site.
