IWBI Launches ‘WELL Health-Safety Rating’ in Response to COVID-19

Twin & Earth are pleased to share with you the new WELL Health-Safety rating, designed to instil confidence for building occupants through prioritization of health and safety within the workplace.  In the wake COVID-19, this assessment has been established to guide and empower owners and operators towards evidence-based best practices.

WELL Health-Safety is a seal of approval that a building is third-party verified to meet a high standard of health and safety. Renewed annually, certification is envisaged to demonstrate this in the long term.

The WELL Health- Safety Rating covers the following 5 core areas, with a subset of features from the WELL Building Standard tailored towards facility operations and management:

  1. Cleaning and Sanitization Procedures

  2. Emergency Preparedness Programs

  3. Health Service Resources

  4. Air and Water Quality Management

  5. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

The WELL Health- Safety Rating can be pursued as a standalone rating, or alongside full WELL Certification. The rating can be applied to both new and existing buildings and is applicable to facilities of all types, from  Office to Retail, Hotels to Schools. WELL Health-Safety can also be easily applied across multiple buildings and projects within a portfolio, utilising shared operational and management protocols.

Twin & Earth’s WELL Accredited Professionals are ideally placed to help guide you through the process and support you in achieving the WELL Health-Safety Rating for your building.
